John is a registered nurse from the Philippines who has worked in the Veterinary Industry for 9 years. Being raised by Veterinarian parents and growing up surrounded by animals, his transition to veterinary nursing was very smooth and he handles veterinary nursing duties with utmost care and compassion.
His interests outside of work are cycling, photography and he is an avid chef of Filipino cuisine.
Jester is a Registered Nurse from the Philippines who grew up with an innate fondness for animals. His first pet Alexander (a dog) prompted his passion for rescued animals. He once freed a couple of hawks from animal poachers back in his hometown.
He started his veterinary nursing career in 2017 and has always been dedicated to understanding the needs of animals and how they communicate. Fish fascinate and bring him warmth and relaxation.
He is owned by a tank of fish, a rescued African Lovebird Rainbow, a rabbit Belle and two dogs Dulce and Coco.
Marcus started his career as a veterinary nurse in July 2008 but his commitment to animals began in 2005 with his dedicated volunteer work at the Animal Lover's League. He hopes to one day be able to work closely with 'Vets Beyond Borders' providing healthcare to animals in need. He is at present adopted by 5 dogs (Elvis, Bobbie, Hilda, Gigi, George) and 1 cat (Massella).
Ruo Ling, our head nurse has been a veterinary nurse for the last 10 years. She holds a Certificate II in Veterinary Nursing and is in the midst of studying for her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. She enjoys taking part in the training of our new and junior nurses, helping to groom the next generation of veterinary nurses. Her sense of humour never fails to light up the clinic even during the busy stressful days.
Teh Khar Yi is one of our senior nurses and has been with The Animal Doctors since 2011. She holds a Certificate II in Veterinary nursing and is currently doing her Certificate IV. She has recently welcomed a rescued FurKid ‘Ball Ball’ into her and her husband’s lives and spends most of her time out of work enjoying time with them.
