Used specifically for the treatment of hyperthyroidism in cats, radioactive iodine can be administered safely in cats to cure this debilitating disease. Traditionally, cats require a lifetime of oral medication and constant monitoring of this condition which can be fatal in the long run. With this treatment, hyperthyroid cats can be cured and will no longer require lifetime medications.
